Cardinals Penny Rug (Donna V)

White berries and cardinals are the centerpiece of this 100% wool penny rug, made completely by hand with felted wool. The berry buttons look good enough for these charming birds to eat. Inspired by a pattern found in a magazine, this piece is 4 layers of wool, and the cardinals, branches, and buttons were stitched on the tan fabric before all the other layers were put together. Although called rugs, these are used primarily as tabletoppers or hangings. As this does not have a sleeve for hanging, it is best suited for a table. Shipping within Canada is included in the price.
